Your health and wellbeing are critical to living a productive, normal life. That's why it's so important to have a reliable health care provider that you can call on, who has your best interests at heart, no matter the circumstance. Sometimes, though, change is necessary. You may have decided to switch health care providers for a number of reasons like new insurance coverage, unhappiness with your current provider, or even medical malpractice. Whatever your reasons, choosing a new health care provider is a serious one. An MD may be qualified to practice medicine, but that doesn't mean they're a good match for your needs. They may not have the empathy, experience, or expertise that you need in your life.

If you're like most people, you need a health care provider who is qualified in their field and offers exemplary guidance: an unbiased figure you can lean on for any kind of medical advice. The truth is, however, that not all health care providers go above and beyond the "call of duty" to ensure their patients feel valued, respected, and comfortable.

Fortunately, Chris Archer, ANP-C, has built his career on providing his patients with professional, personalized medical services in Bloomington Springs. If you live in Tennessee, and need a trustworthy medical team that specializes medical services like primary care and urgent care, look no further than Primary Care & Occupational Health Center.

Primary Care in Bloomington Springs, TN

To some, primary care might seem like an ambiguous term. What does primary care actually mean, and what exactly is a primary care provider? In the simplest terms, primary care means general medical care. A primary care provider (or PCP) specializes in diagnosing, treating, and preventing ailments and conditions that affect a patient's health. Some primary care health care providers focus on specific areas of medicine, like internal and family medicines.

You can think of primary care providers like the quarterbacks of healthcare. Much like a quarterback passing a ball, the PCP makes sure patients get the appropriate care, in the correct setting, by the most qualified care provider. They always do so in a way that aligns with the patient's needs and values. Typically, your primary care health care provider will be your first point of contact in Bloomington Springs's medical system.

Why is Primary Care Important?

Through regular checkups, primary care treatment can prevent serious problems from happening in the first place. Statistically, adults who see their primary care health care providers regularly lower their odds of premature death by 19%, compared to adults that only see specialists. Seeing a PCP isn't just a good idea on the surface - studies show that regular checkups actually prolong your life.

If a longer life weren't enough reason to consider primary care services in Bloomington Springs, think about your bank account. According to a study, adults who use their primary care provider save as much as 33% more on medical bills than people who only see specialists. Primary care also helps save money by keeping you out of the emergency room, where medical care can be more than 4x as much as outpatient care. In one North Carolina ER, health care providers found that patients could have saved 700% or more had they received care from a PCP instead of going to the emergency room.

Additionally, primary care providers can catch and treat problems at their outset, which often happens during annual checkups. Catching an illness early is always preferable to catching an advanced illness, from both a health and financial standpoint.

Testosterone
Replacement
Therapy in Bloomington Springs, TN

As males age, their hormone levels decline naturally, leaving many men with reduced self-confidence, increased body fat, and a decreased sex drive. For millions of males in the United States, the answer to their middle-aged problems begins with testosterone replacement therapy or TRT for short. TRT is used to optimize hormone levels, which are often imbalanced as men age. TRT has been shown to greatly improve the moderate-to-severe symptoms that are common in low-T individuals.

Hormone levels can also be inadequate in men of any age. This is due to genetic interference and abnormalities stemming from hormone receptor action through exposure to chemicals that disrupt the endocrine system. While many TV commercials will tell you low testosterone symptoms begin during middle age, many adult men lose testosterone as early as their mid-20s.

If you're craving more vitality and have noticed a lack of enjoyment in your life, our TRT services in Bloomington Springs might be a good fit for your needs. At Primary Care & Occupational Health Center, all prospective TRT patients must qualify for treatment. Qualification includes comprehensive lab tests and consultations with your primary care provider.

These New Mirrored Cabins on a Tennessee Mountaintop Come With Private Hot Tubs

There will soon be a more immersive way to enjoy the Tennessee mountains, as glamping property Bolt Farm Treehouse debuts five new mirrored cabins on its 55 acres outside of Chattanooga.

The cabins' mirrored-glass façades seamlessly immerse guests in the gorgeous scenery, while ensuring complete privacy since you can't see inside the cabins.

Each cabin sleeps two guests, and is equipped with a queen-size bed, air conditioning, heated floors, a desk, and rain showers. They also have high-speed Wi-Fi, an in-room movie theater, and a bluetooth record player, plus a stovetop, grill, pizza oven, mini fridge, French press, and other cooking equipment. But the highlight is definitely the private terrace with a hot tub, as well as Adirondack chairs, a bistro table, and a smokeless fire pit to enjoy while relaxing on Whitwell Mountain. The cabins were designed and built by ÖÖD, a Tallinn, Estonia-based company known for creating design-forward homes — including one outside Tulum, Mexico — that keep sustainability top of mind.

The cabins are the latest offering on the property owned by Seth Bolt, who built the Majestic Treehouse in Walhalla, South Carolina, with his father Larry Bolt in 2015 for the younger Bolt's honeymoon. "When we realized how magical the experience is and how good it is for the soul, we decided to open it to the public," he said of the property (which can be rented here).

During the pandemic, Seth Bolt and his wife, Tori, started looking at properties in an area that had piqued his interest while on tour, and they landed on the Whitwell Mountain area in May 2020. Now, their Tennessee site offers dome and tree house stays, the latter of which have been seen on Netflix's The World's Most Amazing Vacation Rentals, in addition to the new mirror-like cabins.

The specialized accommodations help guests take advantage of the region, which is filled with opportunities for outdoor activities, including hiking, horseback riding, ATV tours, paragliding, paddleboarding, kayaking, fishing, and even pontoon boating on the Tennessee River. Bolt Farm Treehouse's property is also connected to a 5,000-acre nature preserve.

"Nature has this magical way of melting away stress, so it's worth the hard work of anchoring these mirrored structures atop giant rock faces and next to waterfalls," Tori Bolt said in a release sent to Travel + Leisure. "The visually stunning architecture blends perfectly with nature, providing a fully immersive experience like no other."

The cabins are available for weekday stays with a two-night minimum with check-ins on Mondays and Wednesdays, plus weekend stays with a three-night minimum with check-ins on Fridays. Nightly prices start at $395. Bookings can be made on the Bolt Farm Treehouse website starting tomorrow, Aug. 17, for stays beginning in mid-September — and the first 250 reservations will get 25 percent off.

"We can't wait for guests to enjoy elevated quality time in our new mountainside...cabins," Seth Bolt said in the release. "It's about reconnecting, laughing, and losing track of time on top of the world in a magical, inspiring, socially distanced environment."

All of the Bolt Farm Treehouse stays, including the domes, tree houses, and the new cabins, can be booked here.

First comes love, then comes marriage, then comes a honeymoon at Bolt Farm Treehouse.

Bolt Farm, a tree house hotel in Whitwell, Tennessee, was made famous thanks to its appearance on the Netflix series World’s Most Amazing Vacation Rentals. And it just unveiled four new Honeymoon Treehouses, which travelers can now book for stays beginning in March 2023.

“Inspired by our own honeymoon, our original Honeymoon Treehouse has always been our most popular accommodation. But unfortunately, it’s rarely available because it stays booked throughout the year,” Tori Bolt, who founded the tree house hotel with her husband, Seth, shared in a statement provided to Travel + Leisure. “After acquiring another 37 mountaintop acres, our first goal included replicating that original experience while also adding next-level touches from what we’ve learned over the years.”

In addition to the signature Bolt Farm outdoor shower, Bolt’s latest tree houses include hand-hammered, freestanding copper tubs for indoor bathing and alfresco hot tubs provided with every unit, which are well-positioned for taking in the exquisite view.

Each tree house floor plan also includes a private area for relaxing, quaint furnishings to heighten the romantic vibes, and a terrace complete with a canopy bed, a.k.a. the perfect spot to watch the sunset with your newly betrothed.

At the same time, Seth Bolt noted, “Our Honeymoon Treehouses aren’t just for newlyweds. They’re for anyone who wants to go big by investing in their relationship. Every detail is purposely designed around togetherness, providing couples with a sense of alignment. We want our visitors to leave feeling not only refreshed and renewed but closer and more bonded than ever. That feeling is what we received from our original Honeymoon Treehouse, and it brings us so much joy knowing that we can recreate that experience for more of our visitors.”

Reservations are now open for all of 2023. Learn more and make reservations at www.boltfarmtreehouse.com.

Get the best of city life in a nature-inspired hotel in Tennessee.

Bring the outdoors indoors, in the most luxurious way.

The Memphis Pyramid in Memphis, Tennessee sits along the Mississippi River, celebrating the city’s Egyptian namesake as it is shaped like the old pyramids. Now the home of Bass Pro Shops, the pyramid is also home to a unique hotel, Big Cypress Lodge.

The elevated wilderness-inspired hotel is perfect for some “city glamping.” Chances are, you’ve tried glamping (luxurious camping) but this experience allows you to enjoy the feeling of “roughing it” in the great outdoors while also enjoying luxurious comfort inside. And no long trips into the actual wilderness for those who prefer a cushy king-size bed to a tent.

The hotel boasts an elegant stone fireplace in its lobby and 103 rustic-elegant guest rooms and suites – all outfitted to resemble vintage cabins.

The best rooms for “city glamping” include the hotel’s Fly Fishing Lodge, Treehouse Room, and Duck Cabin.

The Fly Fishing Lodge can accommodate four people, with one king-size and one queen-size bed, two bathrooms (one of which has a soaking tub), cabinet with small refrigerator and coffeemaker, and an electric fireplace.

The Treehouse Room is quite literally a treehouse within the hotel. It sleeps up to six people in one king-sized bed and two queen-size beds, two bathrooms both equipped with soaking tubs, two electric fireplaces, and a screened-in porch that overlooks the hotel’s 100-foot indoor Cypress trees and amazing indoor Cypress Swamp. The Cypress Swamp, located on the ground floor, not only has restaurants and stores with everything you need for your stay, it also has fish ponds and even a pool filled with live alligators.

Loading

The Duck Cabin is perhaps the most intimate choice. It sleeps about two people in one king-size bed and one bathroom with a soaking tub. This room also comes equipped with an electric fireplace and lots of hardwood furnishings.

Besides the comfortable rooms, the hotel also offers a wide range of activities including underwater-themed bowling alley, archery range, the country’s tallest freestanding elevator (the Sky High Ride), and the Ducks Unlimited Waterfowling Heritage Center museum. Or, you can venture out into Memphis for plenty of food, nightlife, and shopping opportunities.

For more information or to make a booking at the Big Cypress Lodge, visit the hotel’s website.
